Card holders given help with insulation

Community services card holders in the Nelson-Tasman region living in homes built before 1977 can have them upgraded in an insulation retrofit project.

Under the plan, ceiling and underfloor insulation, hot-water cylinder wraps, draught stopping and energy saving lamps will be put into selected homes.

Occupants will have to contribute about $300. Energy saving advice will also be given.
