Three people were injured, one seriously, after a car ploughed into a jewellery store in Auckland's Grey Lynn overnight.
Emergency services were called to Diamonds on Richmond on Richmond Rd about 1.30am after the car smashed into the front of the store at high speed causing extensive damage.
Police communications shift manager inspector Jason Greenhalgh said a second vehicle collided with the car after the initial impact.
The road was closed for about two hours because of a gas leak.
Fire communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said fire trucks were sent to deal with the leak.
