A car has crashed into a house in the Auckland suburb of Mangere this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Molesworth place just before four.
The driver attempted to run away, but was located by police a few minutes later.
A 100-metre cordon was put in place while the Fire Service dealt with a gas leak from the damaged house.
There is no longer any danger to the public.
