A car has gone into a river in Southland after rolling on to its side.
Police, ambulance and a rescue helicopter are at the scene of the crash on the Milford side of the Homer Tunnel.
One vehicle was involved and the status of the occupant is not currently known, police said.
The road is not blocked.
