An Otago woman who was critically injured when her car crashed into a paddock has died.
The woman's partner suffered moderate injuries but the couple's baby suffered only a minor injury in the crash north of Palmerston last night.
The 31-year-old mother was at the wheel when the vehicle lost control on a bend and rolled south of Shag Point Rd about 7.35pm.
"It lost control and ended up in a paddock,'' Senior Sergeant Steve Aitken said.
The woman suffered head injuries and was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital where she later died.
