Two of the occupants of a car which plunged into Auckland's Waitemata Harbour after a dramatic police chase this week remained on the run this morning.
Warrants for the arrest of Sheean Leroy Heta, 23, of Otara, and Linda Cherie Phillips, 33, of Mangere, have been issued but police urged the pair to give themselves up before they were found.
Three people were in a stolen Ford Falcon which was chased across Auckland's North Shore before it plunged off Beach Haven Wharf and into the harbour in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The trio took to the water but one was arrested as he came out of the water a short distance away.
During the chase a policeman was seriously injured when he was hit by the car and flung into the air as he laid road spikes.
Today police were continuing their search through south Auckland where the missing pair lived and had associates.
A 28-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in North Shore District Court on Wednesday charged with burglary and unlawfully getting into a vehicle.
