Car on tracks disrupts train services

Auckland train services were disrupted on the western line yesterday after a car was left on the tracks near Avondale.

A Connex spokeswoman said at least three services were delayed while police tried to remove the car.

It is not known how the car came to be on the tracks. No one was inside and it did not appear to have crashed.
