A car was engulfed in flames on a road north of Auckland this morning.
Police were called to the Hibiscus Coast Highway in Orewa at around 6.40am, and were still at the scene.
The fire has currently blocked one lane.
Firefighters were "currently dealing with it", a spokesperson for the Fire Service northern communications centre said.
There were no reports of injuries.
