Car lead in crime

Police have released an image of a car believed to have been stolen by a trio of robbers who held up two Bay of Plenty shops at gunpoint yesterday.

The black Nissan Skyline coupe, registered ACY453, was taken from Mt Maunganui College on Friday morning.

A Te Puke jewellery store was robbed about 11.30am, followed by the Katikati Paper Plus store at 2.25pm.
