Between 80 and 100 people in Northland are without power after a car crashed into a power pole this morning.
The pole on Jervois St, Dargaville, was knocked over when the vehicle hit it about 7.30am, and workers from lines company Northpower were putting up a new one, Northpower operations manager Carl Groshinski said.
Mr Groshinski estimated power would be restored by about midday.
It was not believed anyone was injured in the crash.
