A car, thought to have been involved in an Auckland suburban hit and run which put a father and his young son in hospital last week, has been found.
The man and his son, eight, were hit outside the Edendale Primary School about 3.10pm last Friday by a black car which failed to stop.
Police have summonsed a 34 year-old unemployed Blockhouse Bay woman to appear in the Auckland District Court on April 27, when she will faces three charges - two of dangerous driving causing injury and one of failing to stop and ascertain injury.
Police received a tip-off about the location of the accused woman's car after a man who had watched a television news item saw a damaged vehicle at a panel beaters.
The boy had a compound leg fracture and head injuries. The father's injuries were not as serious.
