A car that drove off a parking building was believed to be caused by an elderly person having a "medical event".
Emergency services were sent to the BNZ car parking building on Fencible Drive, Howick about midday after reports a car had driven off the first storey of the building.
A St John spokesman has confirmed that one person received injuries in the incident, which was caused by a medical event.
Injuries were initially reported to be minor, but were upgraded to moderate about 1pm.
The patient was taken to Middlemore hospital.
