A woman injured when the car she was driving toppled from a car park building in Christchurch has now been released from Christchurch Hospital.
The car punched through a barrier on the second floor of the car park at the Northlands Mall in Papanui about 7:15pm yesterday and landed on its roof below, said police southern communications Inspector Lindsay Turner.
The woman driving was trapped after the crash, Mr Turner said, and had to be freed.
Southern communications ambulance team leader Paul Burns said the woman was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Two other women in the car were able to get out themselves and weren't seriously hurt.
