A power line is lying across a Northland road and traffic is down to one lane after a car smashed into a power pole this morning.
The crash happened about 6am on Riverside Drive, Whangarei, outside the Whangarei Cruising Club.
Traffic on the road is reduced to one lane while contractors repair the lines, police said.
Nobody was injured in the crash.
