A car has crashed into a fish and chip shop in Papakura.
Emergency services was called to Hickman Takeaways on O'Shannessey St at 4.22pm after a car crashed into the shop.
Two people were in the car, a male driver and female passenger, a police spokeswoman said. Both occupants escaped uninjured and no one in the shop was hurt.
No one was trapped in the vehicle, Northern fire service communications shift manager Carren Larking said.
Ngtassorn "Ann" Tangtard, whose parents own The Emerald Thai Restaurant across the road, said the takeaway shop was badly damaged.
