A car has driven into the side of a house in Lower Hutt.
The five door hatchback hit the house on Speedy Street in Stokes Valley before 4.30am.
Police suggest the car may have come around a corner too fast.
The driver ran away from the scene.
No one was injured in the crash and the damage is not believed to be major.
