KEY POINTS:
One person was taken to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition after a two-car crash at the intersection of Hillsborough Rd and White Swan Rd in Lynfield at 6.45pm yesterday.
Inspector Kerry Watson of the police northern communications centre said one of the cars left the road and crashed into a house after colliding with the other vehicle.
Two other people suffered moderate injuries in the collision, which was being investigated by the serious crash unit.
