A trapped woman was rescued from a car after a crash which spilled hazardous paint over a west Auckland road this morning.
Police and firefighters were called to Luckens Rd, West Harbour after the car and van collided about 8.10am, Inspector Peter Raynes of police northern communications said.
The woman was trapped in the car after the crash, but rescue workers freed her from the vehicle.
She was taken to hospital with moderate injuries which were not considered life threatening. Five other people received minor injuries.
Mr Raynes said the van had been carrying paint products which spilled over the road.
