A two-car crash and vehicles breaking down have led to heavy congestion around Auckland City this evening.
A police northern communications spokeswoman said a collision on the Harbour Bridge, involving two cars, and a vehicle that broke down had led to heavy congestion in the area just after 5.30pm.
The middle lane was cut off, as a result, as emergency services attended to the scene. One man suffered moderate to serious conditions and was taken to hospital.
All lanes on the bridge were open shortly after 7pm, however traffic is still slightly congested going towards the North Shore and into the CBD.
There was heavy traffic on the North-Western Motorway, near Whenuapai, where a large truck had broken down.
