Car and cyclists collide in Kapiti

A car and two cyclists have collided in Otaki, 75km northeast of Wellington.

The crash happened at the intersection of State Highway 1 and Te Waka Road about 5pm, police central communications Inspector Ian Harris said.

The cyclists were not seriously injured and were being treated by ambulance staff at the scene.

Police were speaking to the driver of the car, Mr Harris said.
