Canterbury University staff have accepted a pay deal from the university, ending months of industrial action.
The staff, members of the Association of University Staff (AUS), will receive a 5 per cent salary increase from August 1, with 2.75 per cent backdated to May 1.
As part of settling the dispute, a national agreement covering Canterbury, Otago, Lincoln, Victoria, Massey, Waikato and Auckland universities has been created.
Staff from those other universities except Waikato are set to vote on pay deals in the coming week.
Waikato University's offer to staff of a 3 per cent rise has not been accepted.
