Canterbury police storm P labs

Police have stormed P labs in early morning raids in Canterbury involving 160 officers today.

Detective Inspector Greg Williams said three labs at three locations had so far been found, and a fuller picture would be presented by Police Minister Judith Collins early this afternoon.

Search warrants against "Clan Labs" were executed starting at 6am today in Christchurch, Ashburton and Rangiora. Firearms, chemicals for producing methamphetamine and cash were found.

Five people had so far been arrested and would appear in court this afternoon. Further arrests were expected, police said.
