Canterbury diver search called off

Police have suspended the search for a Christchurch diver feared drowned off Motunau Beach in North Canterbury.

Former Crusaders rugby squad physiotherapist Steven Leslie Cope, 44, was reported missing on Saturday after failing to surface from a dive.

Police said yesterday that searching had been suspended unless further information came to hand.
