A Canterbury businessman accused of paying underage girls for sex has today had four more sex charges laid against him, with alleged crimes dating back almost 20 years.
John Michael Condon, a 61-year old who ran Christchurch firm CRC Salvage and Demolition, now faces 17 charges of rape, sexual violation and indecent assault.
Earlier charges involved alleged offences to have occurred between January 1, 2006 and October 19, 2014, including three relating to three girls aged 13 and 14, of encouraging them to "provide commercial sexual services" to him.
He also faces charges of sexual violation of a 4-year old girl and attempted indecent assault of a 3-year old girl.
Condon, listed as a company director from Lansdowne in the Selwyn district, had name suppression lapse earlier.
