Canon is recalling some photocopier models manufactured between 1987 and 1998 because of potentially faulty internal power cord connections.
The recall applies to models PC7, PC11, NP1010 and NP1020.
Canon says the models may present a small risk of smoke emission or fire when the products are used over an extended period.
No incidents have been reported in this country but Canon is trying to trace owners and has offered to check machines and remedy problems.
