The New Zealand men's canoe polo team, which includes Wairarapa duo Kyzen MacDonald and Carl Duncan, continues to make good progress on their way to the world championships to be held in Amsterdam from August 8 to 15.
They met the powerful Germany side at an international event in Belguim on Monday with the Germans having to fight hard for their 2-1 success,
Earlier New Zealand had finished second in their pool after losing to France 0-4, beating Meidericher of Germany 5-3, drawing with Odyseus of the Netherlands 3-3, beating St Omer of France 8-4 and, in post section play, beating a Great Britain club side 4-3.
