KEY POINTS:
Four Nelson College boarding students who were caught growing and supplying drugs have been expelled from the school.
The discovery of a small plantation and a quantity of dried cannabis led to the suspension of 11 students nearly two weeks ago. More than half a dozen plants were discovered growing on a hillside near their boarding house.
A further six students involved in the incident returned to school yesterday as day pupils, while one more has had his suspension extended until a hearing before the college's board of trustees in about two weeks.
