As is the norm with matches of this type, both teams are certain to change their playing personnel on a regular basis, but that should not stop them from adopting an attacking mindset.
New Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett said his side were excited about having their first serious hit-out for the season after an intensive training regime.
"It is the starting point to see where we are and it will be interesting to analyse the development each of the players have made," Hammett said.
