New Zealand director Jane Campion's film on the latter years of English romantic poet John Keats has earned her a shared accolade at the New South Wales Premier's Literary Awards.
Campion, who is now based in Sydney, was named the joint winner of the A$60,000 script writing award last night for her film Bright Star.
Campion wrote the screenplay after reading a biography of Keats penned by Andrew Motion.
She shared the award with Australian film-maker Aviva Ziegler and her documentary Fairweather Man, about Scottish painter Ian Fairweather.
