KEY POINTS:
Police have had several calls after issuing an identikit picture of the man who tried to abduct a 10-year-old Whangaparaoa girl.
But they say they still have no firm leads in the case.
The Stanmore Bay girl fought off her attacker as he tried to force her into a black four-wheel-drive vehicle on Waiora Rd on April 10.
Detective Senior Sergeant Stan Brown of Orewa CIB said several officers were on the case, so police did not know how many calls had been received since the sketch was issued on Tuesday night.
However, police were filtering through calls and emails which were still coming in last night.
The girl's mother said her daughter would not walk in the street by herself, and was being accompanied to and from school.
But she was doing well, and children at the school were looking after her since school resumed after the holidays, in which the attack occurred.
