The Masterton owner of two fox terrier dogs is wanting "responsible dog owners" to rally together and join him in protesting against council dog fees and dog control.
Clive Hullett said he is putting out his "call to action" and claims responsible owners who make sure their dogs are registered and micro-chipped are carrying the can for the bad owners who do not abide by the rules.
Mr Hullett said he believes the fees in Masterton are higher than practically any other comparable local body district and that "enough is enough".
He wants to have others join him in a protest rally in the town square and after feedback will set a date for it to take place.
"If owners want to join in please telephone me on (027) 270 2103," Mr Hullett said.
