The National Party is calling for a review of the National Rescue Co-ordination Centre following the search for missing businessman Michael Erceg.
The wreckage of Mr Erceg's helicopter was found last night at the base of Karioi Mountain near Raglan by a private search party. Both Mr Erceg and his Dutch passenger Guus Klatte were dead.
The Erceg family has criticised the Rescue Centre during the two week search, and for giving up on the men last week.
Now Mr Erceg's MP Judith Collins says there should be a review of the centre's procedures.
She says it seems nonsensical that the Rescue Centre was unwilling to help, despite the Erceg family offering to pay all the costs.
