KEY POINTS:
National won 18 list MPs in Saturday's provisional election result and a total of 59 MPs.
The last of National's list candidates allocated a seat was Cam Calder, who contested the Manurewa electorate. If the party has to lose a seat after the count of special votes, he will be the one to drop off the bottom.
If a National list MP had to resign during the next term, the next one on the party list would be Conway Powell, the party's Dunedin South candidate.
Of Labour's total 43 seats, 22 are list MPs. If a Labour list MP was to resign, next up would be Damien O'Connor who lost his West Coast Tasman seat to National's Chris Auchinvole.
