A teenager has appeared in court charged with the murder of a New Zealand hospitality worked in Cairns.
Philip Quayle, 27, was found dead on a footpath 100m from his central city home in the early hours of Thursday.
Jake Desmond Livingstone, 19, appeared in the Cairns Magistrate Court yesterday and was remanded in custody for a hearing on March 25.
A second man, Alexander Lehmann Hansen, 21, has been charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact and will appear in court in Cairns later this month.
Mr Quayle grew up in Nelson and had finished work about 11:30pm and had a few drinks with friends.
