Police in south Auckland have arrested five people after five separate vehicle pursuits.
They were also called to two separate incidents in Otara, both involving a person presenting a shotgun at another person.
Acting Senior Sergeant Spencer Matthews says an assault in a carpark on Roscommon Road was the most serious incident they attended.
He says a woman is in hospital with serious injuries, including broken bones, bruising and lacerations.
He says although south Auckland is notorious for crime, last night was a particularly busy night for officers on the beat.
