A Havelock North man accused of helping overstayers stay and work in New Zealand illegally made a brief appearance in court today.
The Chinese-born company director, who has interim name suppression, entered no plea in Hastings District Court to 14 charges of aiding and abetting foreigners to remain in the country unlawfully.
Judge Bridget Mackintosh remanded the 51-year-old to December 6 when his lawyer will seek continued name suppression.
