A small piece of normalcy for Sumner residents today with the return of bus services.
A special shuttle service between Sumner and the Ferrymead Bridge will begin this morning, connecting with buses to the city. Passengers have to change buses at the bridge, as heavy vehicles still can't cross it.
The shuttle will run every 30 minutes during the day, with the first bus leaving Sumner at 6:10am, and the last bus leaving just after 10pm.
Metro Bus services will continue to be free for the public until next Sunday.
