South Island locals and international visitors will this week be able to visit Kaikoura by bus again for the first time since last year's earthquake.
From Thursday, InterCity's daily bus services between Christchurch and Kaikoura will resume, travelling via the reopened State Highway 1.
Service 8728 will depart Christchurch at 7am, arriving in Kaikoura at 9.40am. Service 8727 will depart Kaikoura at 3.50pm and arrive in Christchurch at 6.25pm.
Buses will also stop at towns and communities along the route, including Cheviot and Amberley.
