A bus has crashed into three parked cars in Dunedin after the bus driver apparently left the handbrake off.
A Fire Service shift manager said the bus had hit three parked cars on South Rd, Caversham a short time after 4pm.
Southern Stringers cameraman James Gunn went to the scene and spoke to witnesses, who said the driver left the handbrake off when he got out of the bus, which then started rolling backwards.
It collided with two cars on the same side of the street, and the force of the collision pushed the bus across the road and into another parked car.
"At the time when I got there it was still stuck in the back of one car that it had reversed into," Gunn said.
