A power cut to trolley buses in Wellington is causing traffic delays.
Police said contractors were working on the fault.
NZ Bus spokeswoman Megan McSweeney said the fault was due to a power outage.
Wellington Electricity Lines Ltd is in charge of the electricity network in the capital.
Company spokesman Damien Batey initially said the company was not aware of any faults on the network but called back to say there was a fault in a transformer on Cuba St.
He said homes and businesses will be without power in parts of Petone.
