Buses will be revving their engines this weekend at the first ever trans-Tasman bus drivers "Roadeo" in Christchurch.
New Zealand and Australian bus and coach companies will be pitting their best and friendliest against each other at the Wigram Air Base in Christchurch on Sunday at the Tranzqual ITO Australasian Bus Roadeo.
Sixteen New Zealand drivers and 3 Australian drivers will undergo driving and knowledge tests in an effort to find Australasia's best bus driver, Tranzqual marketing manager Amie Lightbourne said.
The drivers were chosen to represent their companies because of their low complaint and accident rates, great customer service and professionalism, she said.
