A bus carrying seven people smashed into a south Auckland property last night after being struck by a car, police say.
The incident occurred on Coronation Rd in Mangere Bridge about midnight, Senior Sergeant Myles Horsnell said.
The Waka Pacific bus was struck by a car at an intersection causing it to veer into a residential property.
Several people suffered minor injuries in the crash, including at least one case of whiplash.
A power line was brought down and the front of the bus sustained substantial damage.
At the scene this morning, the property's wooden fence lay splintered by the roadside and outdoor furniture was turned upside down.
