Stagecoach management is pushing for more mediation to resolve the bus drivers' strike in Auckland.
The union is threatening further industrial action after negotiations on the weekend failed to reach an agreement. Stagecoach managing director Ross Martin says some progress was made and the best way to resolve the issue is to keep talking.
Union spokesman Gary Froggatt says there appears to be some willingness on the company's part to move towards the union position of a $2 an hour pay rise for drivers.
