A woman seriously hurt after her car and a bus collided in the Auckland suburb of Glen Eden this afternoon is in a stable condition in hospital.
The woman was in the emergency department at Auckland Hospital, where her condition was stable and not life-threatening, hospital duty manager James Aoys told NZPA.
Firefighters rescued the woman, believed to be aged about 30, who was trapped in the car for about 30 minutes, after the crash at Withers Road at 1.45pm.
She was taken to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries, St John Ambulance northern communications team manager Glen Taylor said.
"We assessed three other people at the scene who did not require hospital treatment. I don't know if they were in the car or on the bus," Mr Taylor said.
On the bus the 10 passengers were all okay, said Peter Coleman, team leader at the police northern communications centre.
Withers Road in Kaurilands was blocked and diversions were in place until later in the afternoon.
