It's alleged that in August the man, described as a "devout Muslim'', became enraged upon hearing that his 15-year-old daughter had hugged and kissed another girl.
He is accused of confronting her at home and hitting her with an umbrella ten times to the head and body.
The draft summary says the girl used her arms to defend herself and the umbrella "broke on impact''.
It said the girl suffered a broken nose and extensive bleeding, cuts to her hands and bruising to her elbow and forearms.
The wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm charge relates to an alleged incident in early September when the man is again said to have become enraged, this time because the girl smoked at school.
He is accused of picking up a stick and beating the girl around the head and torso, as well as punching and slapping her and pulling her up by her hair.
This time the girl is said to have suffered black eyes, a broken tooth, a broken nose, bruising to her back and cuts and bruising to her forearms.
The draft summary also said she blacked out because of a blow to the top of the head.
Finally, the man is accused of unlawfully detaining the girl at home for 14 days in September because he was concerned her injuries would be noticed at school.
It is alleged the girl could not answer the door or have access to any communication device. She finally got hold of a telephone and police became involved.
The most serious of the charges faced by the man carry a maximum term of 14 years' jail.
His partner will appear in court tomorrow, charged with failing to keep the girl safe.
