Police say they are satisfied the death of a man found in a burnt-out car in North Canterbury is not suspicious.
The remains of Shane Malcolm Bell, 28, of Dallington, were found in the driver's seat of a burnt-out 1989 silver Subaru station wagon near the southern end of Dunlops Rd, near Loburn, North Canterbury, on Sunday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brian Archer said that as a result of inquiries undertaken so far, police were satisfied there was no evidence of foul play in Bell's death.
"It will now be for the Coroner to make a determination as to the cause of death," he said.
