Burned man named

Dental records have been used to identify the badly burned body of a man found in a car at Puketapu, near Napier, on Saturday.

He was Nigel Peter Ashley, 40, from the Napier suburb of Taradale.

Mr Ashley's charred Holden Calais was found in bush next to a river by a passer-by.

Detective Sergeant Mike Foster of Napier CIB said: "We're not looking for anyone else and it doesn't appear suspicious. We've got a few forensic issues to complete, but nothing too serious."
