Burmester 'learns lesson'

Swimming star Moss Burmester has lost his drivers' licence for three months but has been granted a permit by the Auckland District Court that will let him drive to early training.

The Commonwealth 200m butterfly champion clocked up more than 100 demerit points in a two-year period for speeding.

Burmester said through his manager: "I've learned a valuable lesson and I'm looking forward to driving safely from here on in."
