Police have released the name of a man killed in a crash yesterday and they say speed and alcohol may have been factors.
He was 26-year-old Logan Coleman-Prestige, of Palmerston North.
Police said Coleman-Prestige was a passenger in a car which was believed to have veered off Parewanui Rd in the Manawatu-Wanganui town Bulls about 5pm.
It hit a solid fence on the opposite side of the road, killing Coleman-Prestige and moderately injuring the 30-year-old male driver.
"Officers have not yet formally spoken to the man, however, preliminary indications suggest that alcohol and speed may have been factors to the crash," police said in a statement.
The death had been referred to the coroner while the police investigation continued.
