Buller District Council woos dentists

Buller District Council is offering a $100,000 loan at 5 per cent interest to attract a buyer for Westport's sole dental practice.

A prospective buyer would have to commit to providing dental services in the town for at least three years.

Chief executive Gary Murphy said the council recognised the importance of ongoing dentistry services for Buller.
